Moving towards my vision of retirement, I have been fortunate. My employer worked with me and allowed me to move to a part-time remote position.

Growing up, I watched my Grandparents enter the freeing age of 55+. With all of the kids grown and launched into the world, they traveled North America in their fifth wheeler. Every time they returned with slide show journeys through Mexico, Canada, and Alaska. I
​
I watched my mom travel the world, including Alaska, Grand Canyon, Europe, amd Hawaii.

Now I'm working on following in their footsteps.

During our careers, each person crafts a 30 second "Elevator Speech", explaining your profession. This simple 30 second speech defines you to those you meet.
When you retire, one of the most challenging tasks is creating that new 30 second Elevator Speech. Who are you now that you have retired? What do you like to do? How do you fill your days?
New people you meet don't really care about what you did in your profession, they care about what you do today.

That 30 second "Elevator Speech" is what inspired Jodel and I to develop this website as we work on Reinventing ourselves After 55.
