North to Alaska: Day 15 (2022-05-16): Ketchikan USA

Day 15 (2022-05-16): Ketchikan USA – Approximately 0 miles, 0 hrs. A good no boat and rest day after around 14 days. Ketchikan was a bit disappointing for me. I can see why it is a popular cruise route along the state's southeastern coast – there were four ships here today releasing their drove to descend on the area – even staring at us in our boat. Kind of takes away from the beauty of the place. It is nice to see they have tried to preserve some of the native American heritage and totems poles throughout the town. Sounds like the Indians in this area experienced the same challenges as those in the continental states. Walked around the area, up Creek Street, two museums, Bawden beer breweries and a fish hatchery. All in all good to get my land legs back on me.
